In this episode, Dr. Mike Martel and Dr. Crista Reaves sit down with Alexa Andersen, PhD student at Michigan State University’s College of Nursing, to talk about her journey into nursing and her research on invisible disabilities.

Alexa shares how her own health experiences inspired her to return to nursing school and pursue research that raises awareness and empathy for individuals living with conditions that aren’t always visible—like ADHD, anxiety, depression, and chronic pain.
